The film pays tribute to the notable career of the late famous Egyptian artist and designer, Nagy Shaker (1932-2018). Shaker was known mostly for his costume design and puppets-making in the musical spectacle “El-Leila El-Kebira” (The Big Night). Over the course of the past five decades, he encompassed all sectors of the visual art scene: cinema, painting, graphic works, sculpture, and interior and architectural design. In 2015, he was awarded the State Appreciation Award by Egypt’s Supreme Council for Culture for his lifelong achievement. The film includes an interview with Shaker himself in which he speaks ever so modestly about his experience as an experimental artist, production designer and filmmaker.
