"AFTer the end of the world" Film Screening & Discussion
Suspended between a brutal past and an uncertain future, the city of Beirut lingers in a fragile and indefinite present tense. Join us for a special pop-up screening of "After the End of the World" by Nadim Mishlawi, a captivating creative documentary that reflects on the aftermath of loss and the complexities of Beirut's urban landscape.
"After the End of the World" is the memoir of a filmmaker's experiences in Beirut, delving into the city's urbanism beyond its political landscape. Through contrasting images of ruins and modernity, the film becomes a portrait of a city on the verge of perpetual disappearance.
The screening will be followed by a discussion featuring Tamer El Said (Filmmaker), Omar Nagati (Architect/ Urbanist; Principal & Co-founder of CLUSTER), moderated by Ahmed Nabil (Cineaste).

تظل مدينة بيروت عالقة بين ماضي قاسي ومستقبل غير محدد. انضموا لنا في عرض الفيلم الوثائقي الإبداعي "ما بعد النهاية" لنديم ميشلاوي الذي يعكس آثار الدمار وتعقيدات المشهد الحضري في مدينة بيروت. "ما بعد النهاية" هو مذكرة تستكشف حياة مخرج في بيروت وتتعمق في المدينة خارج النطاق السياسي، ويعكس الفيلم صورة متناقضة لمدينة على وشك الاختفاء
العرض يليه مناقشة مع تامر السعيد (صانع أفلام) وعمر نجاتي (معماري ومصمم عمراني وعضو مؤسس لمختبر عمران القاهرة (كلستر)، بإدارة أحمد نبيل (سينمائي)
